The Smash Bros series is popular, from the original game to the latest, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But does it still live up to expectations? Let’s find out.

GAMEPLAY

smash bros has weird gameplay compared to regular fighters like street fighter. smash bros does not have health; instead, the more damage you take, the further you fly backward when hit, and you have to knock your opponent off screen. each character has different special moves and stats, making each character feel unique.

VISUALS

the visuals aren’t great; they aren’t terrible, but they could be better. it’s not a dealbreaker by any means, and the art is still pretty good, but it’s average. there really isn’t much to say here.

MUSIC AND SOUND

now the music is great, featuring tracks from many different series and franchises included in the game, and it is really good. The sound effects also work great, as they are high quality.

ROSTER

the roster in Smash Bros is the main draw, with a total of 76 fighters in the base game. They all have original special moves that fit the characters, and the roster goes from characters like Mario and Kirby to Cloud and Simon Belmont. The roster is massive and great.

FINAL VERDICT

smash’s gameplay, music and roster make it 100% worth playing its only slightly held back by the art but overall if you don’t have it already just buy it

SCORE 9/10
